Man arrested with rocket launcher

LAHORE, March 20: The Sabzazar police on Thursday arrested a youth and seized a rocket launcher from his possession.

The police also took into custody a former MNA elected on a minorities’ seat, Malik Bashir, when the arrested youth later identified as Moeen Sultan of Kharak disclosed that his accomplice, Ghori, who fled the spot, was his (MNA’s) employee.

The fully-loaded launcher’s fuse was, however, missing, they said.

On a tip-off that two people were carrying a rocket launcher in a sack, a police team held them near Kharak drain.

The police arrested Moeen, however, Ghori fled. During preliminary interrogation, Moeen said Ghori was an employee of former MNA Malik Bashir.
