Body found near Daman-i-Koh

ISLAMABAD, March 29: A body of a woman was found from Daman-i-Koh on Saturday, police said.

The incident came to light when some passersby informed the police that an abandoned body was lying in the green area near Jamia Faridia.

The police reached the spot and shifted the body to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences for identification and legal process. The deceased seems to in her 30s was yet to be identified.

The police said that no mark of injuries was found on the body of the deceased and the actual cause of death would be ascertained after autopsy.

Meanwhile, a Nigerian was arrested by the city police on his failure to produce travelling documents, police said.0

During routine checking at G-10 Markaz, the Shalimar police spotted the Nigerian and asked him to show his travelling documents but he failed to produce it.

The police arrested him under Foreign Act and produced him in the court of law where the judge sent him to Adyala Jail on 14 days judicial remand.

During interrogation the Nigerian told police that he lost his travelling documents, including passport and in this regard he contacted African community in Pakistan for seeking new documents.
