ISLAMABAD, March 30: A woman, who was found dead on Saturday, has been identified as a maid missing since Friday, police said.

Shahnaz Bibi, a native of Abbottabad, used to live in a house in sector F-11/3 that belonged to her employer, a doctor at Railway Hospital.

The woman left the house on Friday but never returned. Her body was found in a green-belt near Jamia Faridiya on Saturday.

An autopsy has been performed at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) to ascertain the cause of death, the report is still awaited. The police said no marks of injury were found on the body.

GANG BUSTED: Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) has busted a gang of inter-provisional narcotics smugglers and arrested three persons, besides seizing Charas and opium.

A spokesman said on a tip-off that the gang would smuggle narcotics from the tribal area to Punjab, a raiding party led by DSP Bashir Noon Kazmi intercepted a vehicle (RLB-4696) near Haji Camp. During search, the personnel seized 16kg of Charas and 2kg of opium from the vehicle.

The CIA team also arrested the three occupants and impounded the vehicle.
