MQM leader held

DADU, April 1: Police arrested a leader of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement, Manzoor Hussain Babbur, on Tuesday after a clash over land in Kando Babbur village in Johi taluka on Tuesday.

Manzoor’s brother Ghulam Mustafa Babbur who is naib nazim of union council Sawro told journalists at a press conference that his brother was being victimised because he had contested for PS-75 in elections.

Police have obtained three-day remand of Babbur from a local court.

The case has been registered by Mohammad Bachal Jamali.

PPP MEETING: A meeting of the Dadu chapter of Pakistan People’s Party decided on Tuesday a caravan of 300 vehicles would leave for Garhi Khuda Bux on April 4 to attend the death anniversary of party founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
