Four killed in tribal feud

SHIKARPUR, April 18: As a result of ongoing tribal dispute between Shar and Khosa tribes four persons, including two women and a boy were killed by Khosa tribesmen near government agricultural farm in the jurisdiction of Lakhi Ghulam Shah police station on Friday.

At least ten armed men from Khosa tribe attacked Shars with automatic weapons when they were harvesting wheat crop in the field.

As a result of firing, four persons namely Abdul Karim Shar, Ms Marvi wife of Rano Shar, Ms Begum Zadi wife of Ghulam Shabbir Shar and a boy Ghulam Ali Shar 7, died on the spot.

After committing the offence, the assailants escaped.

The motive behind the incident is said to be dispute over a piece of agricultural land between the two groups.

So far at least 23 persons from both the groups have lost their lives in armed clashes. No FIR was registered till the filing of this report.

INJURED:Ten passengers were injured when a Peshawar-bound coach turned turtle near Bari Begari Canal on Kandhkot - Shikarpur road in the jurisdiction of Naparkot police station on Friday.

The injured were identified as Gul Nawab Pathan 25, Ameer Jan Pathan 26, Bakhsherin Pathan and seven others.

The injured were shifted to Khanpur and Shikarpur hospitals and were discharged after getting medical assistance.

Naparkot police have impounded the vehicle.
