The Kohsar police produced Dr SA before Civil Judge Fahim Shah who sent him in physical remand, said ASP City Circle Mohammad Farhan Zahid.

He said at least three new cases of fraud would be registered against the accused with the Kohsar and Secretariat police.

The accused also allegedly defrauded a cellphone company of Rs40,000 to Rs50,000 by promising that he would help the company in selling its connections to all the MNAs. Another case of trying to defraud a carpet shop owner will also be registered against him. The accused showed the same notification and certificate to the owner of the shop to purchase carpets saying he had been awarded contract for laying carpets in Parliament Lodges.

A case of theft will be registered in Secretariat police against the accused for stealing the letterheads of National Assembly from the room of a PPP MNA in Parliament Lodges.

The accused was arrested after the manager of the bank complained to the police that he had opened an account in the bank showing a fake notification and certificate.
