MINGORA, May 10: Four police constables were injured when a suicide bomber rammed his explosives-laden car into the Mingora police station on Friday night, hours after a ceasefire agreement was reached between the ANP-led government and pro-Taliban militants.

Swat DPO Waqif Khan said the bomber tried to reach his target inside the police station, but crashed the car into a barricade raised to prevent attacks.

The car exploded with a big bang damaging four shops built over a police barrack.

The debris fell into the basement injuring three policemen who were taken to the district headquarters hospital in Saidu Sharif. Police fired several shots into the air after the incident.
