KARACHI, May 19: A young man was killed on Business Recorder Road on Monday.

Lal Badshah, a 30-year-old cobbler, was shot dead by a man, later identified as Anwer Badshah, over some old, personal enmity, police said. Area people caught hold of the fleeing suspect following the incident. Police reached the spot in the meantime and took custody of the suspect. Police claimed recovery of a TT pistol and a motorcycle from his possession.

In Orangi Town, area people overpowered two suspects who were reportedly trying to escape after a foiled robbery attempt.

As the two ‘unarmed’ robbers, police said, barged into the house of Mohammad Iqbal in Raja Tanveer Colony the residents raised a hue and cry and beat up both. In the meantime, area people gathered at the spot and caught hold of the suspects, identified as Yasir Khan and Riasat.

Meanwhile, two armed suspects were arrested in Orangi near Dakhana Chowrangi.

During snap-checking, Orangi police nabbed Muhammad Yousaf and Hameedullah and recovered two pistols and some fake currency from their possession.
