Published May 27, 2008

KARACHI, May 26: A headless body was found in Lyari late Sunday night.

Police said that an anonymous caller informed them about the presence of a body in a garbage bin on Slaughter House Road in Baghdadi police limits. They recovered the body and shifted it to the civil hospital for a post-mortem examination. They suspected that the victim was a member of one of the gangs operating in Lyari and killed on suspicion of being a police informer.

However, police said, the victim could not be identified unless the head was found. Following the legal formalities, the body was shifted to the Edhi morgue.
