PESHAWAR, May 28: Three persons including two women were killed in separate incidents here on Wednesday.

A complainant Zareen Gul, resident of Achar Kalay, told police that his nephew allegedly killed his wife and daughter in his absence.

His daughter Sakina had been engaged to Slam Khan but his nephew Fida Mohammad was not happy with the decision.

He was out of home when the accused shot his wife Mumtaza and daughter Sakina dead and fled away. The Bhana Mani police station registered a case.

Meanwhile, a private bank’s employee got bullet injuries and died at a hospital.

An official of the Tehkal police station said that Akhtar Ali, peon, received serious injuries when a gun from the bank’s security guard mistakenly went off.

Accused Mohammad Ayaz was arrested immediately and a case against him was registered.

In another incident, unidentified militants on Tuesday night exploded a powerful bomb inside a government-run girls’ school and destroyed its main gate and a side wall but caused no loss of life, police said.

The police have registered a case against unidentified militants at the Matni police station.
