MIANWALI, June 2: Two nonchalant outlaws on a motorcycle deprived a businessman of Rs2.2 million at the busy GPO Chowk on Kutchery Road, a few yards away from police emergency Rescue 15 office.

Reports said Nasrullah Khan, son of a commission agent, Mehr Khan Sawansi, was going on a motorcycle along with his servant to UBL’s Truck Adda branch to deposit the cash.

As they reached GPO Chowk, two masked men riding a motorcycle intercepted them and snatched the cash from them at gunpoint.

According to eyewitnesses, the outlaws fled the place biking through the populated area. They were last seen on Central Model High School Road near Canal Colony link road. It made no difference to the outlaws that 15 police office was just yards away from the place where they made the strike.

The city police have registered a case under section 392 of the PPC on the complaint of Nasrullah Khan. — Correspondent
