LAHORE, June 5: Robbers looted calling cards worth Rs600,000 from an employee of a cell phone company in Shahdara Town police precincts on Thursday.

Two robbers riding a bike stopped Ali Imran and snatched calling cards, a cell phone and some money from him.

Two robbers barged in the shop of Atif in Chuhng police precincts and took away cash in thousands and a cell phone.

Separately, two robbers stormed the shop of Bilal in Islampura police precincts and fled with cash in thousands and a cell phone.

THEFT: Thieves broke into the house of bank officer Saleem in Hunza Block of Iqbal Town and took away cash, jewellery and other valuables worth Rs2 million.

KILLED: An addict allegedly stabbed his fellow addict to death over a minor issue in Union Park in Millat Park police precincts on Thursday.

According to the initial police investigation, 27-year-old Shafaqat exchanged words with his fellow addict, unidentified so far, over some issue. As a result, he was attacked by him with a knife and later he succumbed to his injuries at Services Hospital.

Police sent his body for an autopsy and registered a case against the accused on the complaint of Shafaqat’s father Safdar Ali.

ACCIDENTS: A teenaged motorcyclist was hit and overrun by a rashly-driven car on Maqbool Road in Millat Park on Thursday.

Edhi officials said the victim was later identified as Shahid of Ichhra.

A 24-year-old rickshaw driver lost his life in a road accident on Bund Road.

Edhi officials said Naveed of Usman Park was driving his rickshaw on Bund Road when he suffered an accident and his rickshaw overturned. Naveed died at the scene.

TWO HELD: Sabzazar police claimed on Thursday to have arrested two members of a gang and seized from them a motorcycle, a cell phone and illegal weapons.
