12 policemen suspended

GUJRANWALA, June 11: Twelve police officials were suspended from service over corruption and issued show cause notices on Wednesday.

Gujranwala Region Deputy Inspector General of Police Zulfiqar Ahmad Cheema reviewed the cases of these police officials and found them guilty of corruption.

Garjakh police investigation in-charge Naeem Kasuar, Satellite Town police investigation in-charge Israr Hussain, Sabzi Mandi police investigation in-charge Shahid Tanveer, Wahndo police investigation in-charge Ijaz Hussain Shah, Nandipur organised crime in-charge Ghulam Ali and sub-inspectors Irfan Saleem, Mian Munir, Shamshad Hussain, Abdul Aziz and Jawed Akhtar are among those suspended from the service. —Correspondent
