ASI among three arrested

TOBA TEK SINGH, June 14: District Police Officer Riaz Nazir Garra on Saturday suspended from service ASI Zawar Husain and constables Manzoor and Sabir for negligence which led to escape of two accused.

The police arrested the ASI and the two constables after registering a case against them.

Reports said the police had arrested Siddique of Nadeem Park (Gojra) and Zafar Jat of Chak 372-JB in a theft case. The three officials were taking away the accused to a village for the recovery of stolen valuables when they fled from the custody. Sources, however, said a team was interrogating them at the outhouse of an influential person from where the alleged culprits fled.

PRIZE BOND CHITS: The Kamalia police in a crack down arrested seven prize bond chit sellers on Saturday.

A case was registered against them under gambling act and they were sent behind bars.
