ISLAMABAD, June 19: The ring leader of a terrorist group busted last week by the Federal Investigation Agency was reportedly arrested in Rawalpindi on Thursday.

According to a private TV channel, Intikhab Abbasi was allegedly a mastermind of recent suicide bombings in Islamabad, including the blast outside the Danish Embassy.

FIA director-general Tariq Pervez neither denied nor confirmed the arrest.

Nine members of the same group have already been arrested along with 1,250kg of potassium chloride and other explosive substance.

Three of them were arrested on July 14 from Shah Khalid Colony near the Islamabad Airport.

They were identified as Mohammad Zameer, Mohammad Sajjad and Tauqeer Ahmed. They are stated to be brothers of Abdul Kabir alias Yasir who was arrested on June 10, along with five other terrorists, from the densely-populated Dhok Kala Khan in Rawalpindi.

Three explosives-laden vehicles were also seized.
