Scrap bomb kills youth

GUJRANWALA, June 20: A youth was killed and two others injured when a scrap bomb exploded in a house in Sharifpura on Friday.

Usman, Ijaz and Ali found a scrap bomb near Upper Chenab Canal and took it to Usman’s house.

They were scratching it when it went off. As a result, Usman died at the scene and Ijaz and Ali were injured critically. They were taken to the district headquarters hospital.

This is the seventh scrap bomb explosion in Gujranwala city over the last two months. Six people have been killed and 12 injured in these explosions.
