RAWALPINDI, Aug 12: An anti-terrorism court here on Tuesday extended the judicial remand of three suspected terrorists after police said they needed more time to complete their investigations.
ATC-II Judge Sakhi Muhammad Kahot deferred the hearing till August 26 after the jail authorities submitted the medical report of Khalid Saifullah who has been admitted in jail hospital after his health deteriorated. The judge directed the jail officials to produce the man in the jail on the next hearing date.
Two other accused Asad Hussain and Asif Saleem were present in the court as they had been granted bail of the Lahore High Court Rawalpindi bench in the case registered against them on May 10 by Civil Lines Police Station.
According to police the accused were arrested on May 10 from a place near Ayub Park in the limits of Civil Line Police and suicide vests and other explosives were recovered from them.— Our Reporter
