THATTA: Contractor kidnapped

THATTA, Aug 16: A contractor of Banana, Fayaz Arain, and twelve labourers, majority of them of scheduled caste were kidnapped from two different agricultural fields in Shah Loko forest near Keenjhar lake on the National Highway here on Saturday.

However, eleven kidnapped men were later released by the bandits as a result of an encounter that took place in Shah Loko forest area, said DPO of Thatta Fida Hussain Mastoi. He, however, said the contractor Fayaz was whisked away by the dacoits believed to be linked to Adloo Soomro’s gang.

The dacoits gang along with the kidnapped contractor has reportedly crossed over the river Indus by moving towards Sujawal area sources told Dawn.

A massive search has begun for the safe recovery of the banana contractor.
