Drone kills five in North Waziristan

MIRAMSHAH, Nov 21 Five suspected militants were killed in a drone attack on a car in Khadi village of North Waziristan on Sunday.

The unmanned plane reportedly fired two missiles. The car burst into flames and the five occupants were killed.

The identity of the deceased could not be ascertained till late night.

Sixty-five people have been killed and 20 injured in drone attacks in North Waziristan this month.

AFP adds Security officials said six militants were killed in the attack on a residential compound and a car.

“The compound and vehicle parked nearby were destroyed in the attack and at least six militants are dead,” a senior security official said.

The casualties were confirmed by an intelligence official.
