MIRAMSHAH, Oct 4 US drones attacked a residential compound in Mirali Town of North Waziristan Agency on Monday, killing eight suspected militants and injuring three.

According to official sources, the drones fired two missiles into the compound owned by a man named She Mulla.

They said foreigners were among the dead.

This is third drone attack in North Waziristan since the beginning of the month. Last month US drones carried out 22 attacks in tribal areas.

Sources said that unidentified people encircled the compound after the attack and retrieved bodies and the injured.

Drones kept flying over the area throughout the day.

Agencies add The drone strike killed eight militants of German nationality in northern Pakistan, Pak- istani intelligence officials said.

The strike came a day after the United States and Britain warned of an increased risk of terrorist attacks in Europe.

The militants were members of a group called Jihad Islami, the Pakistani intelligence officials said without elaborating.

There was no independent verification and militants often dismiss official reports.
